从来没用过fdisk，不知道怎么找flash drive。
我的是一个1G的usb flash drive，按照他给出的/dev/sda，不行。
然后configure partion 1 and 2，他都没给出命令。
高手指点一下吧。
1. Find your Pogoplug's IP address and connect via SSH:
username: root
password: stxadmin
2. Partition your flash drive.
fdisk /dev/sda
# Configure partion 1 as Linux (I recommend at least 512MB)
# Configure partion 2 as Linux Swap (256MB recommended)
3. Download and run the debian install script:

很多。
先说说换debian的原因
1. Ubuntu 10.04不能装XEN，手动装？太麻烦
2. KICAD出错，不能新建project
3. Ubuntu 9.10在我的iBook上不能重启或关机
4. 升级太快。不升级老是提醒你升级，那天一不小心点了升级，就要面对一堆新的问题
下面是我用debian的问题，希望达人能支支招
debian最大的问题： 语言和输入法
1. 输入法在英文系统里怎么也调不好，就一个scim的图标在那儿，没反应
2. 修改locales只能在console里，而且居然会出错，搞得我切到中文以后，再选英文
就说找不到
3. 系统改成英文了，远程登录显示出来居然是中文。
4. 中文字体也难看，忍了。 回头谁有好一点的字体发给我一份
其他小问题：
1. synaptic搜索没Ubuntu的好用，ubuntu的搜索结果是按照相关性排的
2. 默认安装root是有密码的，要安装选专家安装才能选不用root，小麻烦
3、默认打开文件夹是一层一层的，要自己改 |

Pogoplug software, simply unplug your USB drive and reboot."
但我装完了，在USB插上时能启动到Debian，拔了USB，却进不了Pogoplug了，启动时
Goflex Net的绿灯闪了一会就变成一直闪烁的黄灯。
现在Goflex Net的启动完全依赖U盘了，万一U盘出错或挂了，岂不是Goflex也一起完了？
有没有什么办法让它在USB拔掉情况下启动原来的pogoplug系统？
希望高手或有经验的人指点一下。谢谢 |

大家都搞DOCKSTAR的时候我也搞了一个，一直在那儿积土，
前些日子总算是找机会装上了PLUGBOX LINUX， 用了SAMBA等。用着很方便。
还觉得不爽，看到有人用了DEBIAN，就想应该试试，应用可以多些，特别是什么来着
现在都不记得了。只记得自己一用DEBIAN一定出问题，所以现在一定用LINUX的地方
还用的是OPEN SUSE。这次也不例外，成功地按装之后就再也SSH不进去了。都不明白
是为什么。
当时留了个心眼儿，用的一块新盘装的，老的PLUGBOX LINUX没有动。插回去
可以SSH进去，可是别的机器已经不能象以前那样访问服务器了。
有谁给指点一下吧。如果这次再搞不定这个DEBIAN，下次见到它一定记得走开，无论它
看上去多可爱。 |

On the DockStar, these are the default LED actions to interpret what your
device is doing:
Off: You are running the new uBoot or you have booted into Plugbox. The
device may also be off.
Today I use another Router without any setup. And I noticed that there is
no ip set to the plugbox with debian.
I can not understand why with debian I need reinstall SSH. But I will try
install a linux in home and reinstall debian too.

换了个u盘就安装成功了，然后最后让我reboot，我一回车跳出个错误框，什么已失去
链接，然后拔了pogoplug电源重启。路由器内局域网就看不到他了，我 arp -a，没有
了。
现在怎么ssh链接啊？谢了！！ |

configuration. That option only became available in GNOME 2.24 and thus is
not available in Debian Lenny. You need to turn off the XRandR plugin for
the gnome-settings-daemon.
And the lastest version of Gnome looks not stable on Debian now.

发贴求助学到了不少技巧，但是还没有解决问题，是不是应该放弃DEBIAN呢？大家给些
建议，还有就是用什么样的LINUX比较好。
但是真的不死心，希望大家看一下是不是真的没有办法了。我一直觉得安装驱动不应该
这么麻烦。
DEBIAN 版本50 LENNY
板载INTEL显卡，Intel GMA X4500
主显示器 LCD 1280 1024 VGA
附显示器 HPLCD VIZIO 1366 x 768 HDMI
开机到进入XWINDOWS之前，电视能与显示器同时显示，进入XWINDOWS之后电视不再显示
任何信息。尝试使用XRANDR，能控制LCD显示器，但是无法控制电视。
下，可以很方便地实现双显，其配置如下。

加路径执行 /etc/samba/smbpasswd -a root
之前属性rw-------,permission denied,
chmod777后倒是不出错了，可是啥都没有，没有提示输入密码什么的。屏幕如下：

死。
pogopro每次启动要从tftp下uimage，免刷机，很安全。
原版kernel和ramdisk都在，怎么弄都死不了。
先装了archlinuxarm，再用alarm的lib/module和usr/local替换debian release
就可以用debian启动了。
apt-get install/update都正常使用 |
