打算过境去加拿大看瀑布，想找个能看到瀑布全景的酒店，我看了公认的有marriott
niagara falls fallsview hotel & spa，不过最贵，有没有去过的人知道不知道边上
的几家比如radisson,embassy,four points看得景色如何？价格便宜一些，如果差不多
，当然想定便宜一点的。谢谢。 |

上周第一次去snowshoeing. 挺有意思，嘿嘿。写个流水账。
沿着58号公路过了小镇Oakridge大概半个小时，就在路边。
雪厚大概接近半米，入口处的雪都铲掉了，有个小停车场，之前要买permit.
温度不是很低感觉有5度的样子，我只穿了单裤，上面里面也只有一层速干的秋衣一个
抓绒坎肩。往里走20分钟左右吧，就看到瀑布了，水挺大的。落差有286ft，接近90米
吧。然后我们决定绕过这个瀑布去看另一个lower diamond creek falls.
一路跋涉，深一脚浅一脚的。最好戴上gaiter，非常有用。
下到那个瀑布之前有一小段非常陡，队伍中有个人就滑下去了，大概10米吧，好在下面
只是积雪比较深的那么一小块平地。。。很有意思。

If you are lucky, it might be warm at that time, maybe not
many flowers in blossom though.
the best time to visit falling water would be summer and fall,
but if spring is your only available time, the building itself
might still worth a visit (in the sense of architecture). |

匆走了一趟非常容易的Franklin Falls算是慢慢恢复，推荐一下（这个也收费，不过是
联邦的稍微便宜一点）。本来打算再走走denny creek，去玩一玩那个石板水滑梯，去
得太晚就作罢了。

两个的trailhead相距只有二百米（GPS：47.4130, -121.4416），可以走I-90的47口或
者52口下去，在东西两条单向高速中间。FF只有来回2迈，而且可以中间开走，适合初
次爬山的一两岁孩子。DC来回4迈，有一个水滑梯，大一点不怕冷的孩子可以玩一玩水
。FF离trailhead近的河里有一个真的能滑水的地方，不要命的可以穿救生衣带一根30
码长的保险绳试一试。
停车需要联邦森林day use pass（好像是5刀一天，没有的话抓到罚款55刀），或者其

现在只好把有限的照片扔上来了...
家有4岁娃, 尽量找好走的短trail. Twin Falls State Park, 应该是东边人气非常旺
的trail了. 在I-90往东34号出口.

Trail门口的停车场需要Discovery Pass, 但是满起来很快. 不怕走的话停在进来的路
边就行, 免费.
Trail来回总共3英里, 不长, 但一半的距离是在迂回爬坡, 挺累的. 要多多带水. 有小
朋友在的话, 大人要准备好最后背着走. 我们回来的路上不断诱惑给小的买好吃的人家
才肯自己走完 :-P
一路上的风景比顶上的瀑布美. 前一半的距离是沿着河的平地.
河水非常清澈. 而且到处都是树荫, 很凉快
上坡的路是Z字型的. 满山的树和Moss, 很有奥林匹克公园里的温带雨林的感觉.
顶上面的瀑布就这个样子, 恩, 我更喜欢树林和河边的风景...

the best communte to downtown among all major freeways, and still is a
master planned community that has the suburb feel. We like our community
very much. However, not many Chinese live here though (we know 2-3 families
in our neighhoods so far), that's probably the reason the schools may not be
as highly rated as the ones in Katy or Sugarland :) The new Fall creek

5月27日我们全家出动到Ocean City和Assateague State Park过周末。傻二本来是睡着
了。没想到，在50/301 Chesapeake Bay Bridge上坡的时候，这小子扯着嗓子放声狂叫
“着火了！”，“着火了！”，“着火了！”。。。
我当时就一激灵。差点就来了个急刹。这边儿，妈妈，爷爷还有奶奶也在问怎么回事儿。
经过七嘴八舌一通分析，事情才有了个眉目。原来傻二这几天在看巧虎认字。他知道“
水”是water。问题是，巧虎把“水”跟“火”一块儿教了。而且，还把“着火了”这
么惊心动魄的词儿也深深地鼓捣进傻二的小脑壳里。最后大家达成共识，傻二是用“着
火了”来充分表达对刚睡醒时看到的滔滔大水的惊心动魄的崇拜。
一波未平一波又起。这小子喊完一阵子“着火了”终于醒全乎了。发现我们的车是在大
桥上开。桥就是bridge嘛。好家伙，三声bridge喊完了，我们就听到他字正腔圆地唱起
“London Bridge's Falling Down, Falling Down...”

目前安排如下：
周5下午到buffalo机场，在Niagara fall Canada住三个晚上。
周6准备去多伦多玩玩， 以为只有1天，还带着宝宝，估计去
不了什么地方。但是很想好好吃一顿。所以想请大家介绍几个好餐馆，
最好是川菜or火锅呵呵。还有就是能再介绍一两个值得去而且带宝宝
去方便的地方。
周日就在瀑布玩，坐坐船什么的，最好周围能有可以看看枫叶的地方。
周一早上10点的飞机，加上过关，几点从瀑布做合适呢？
大家看行程可以吗？会不会太紧？大瀑布一天够吗？

儿开车技术还差点火候，不敢让他老兄开)，运气还不错，每天没费太大力气，都有钓到
keeper。前天35"，昨天是32"， 今天31"， 鱼明显慢慢多起来，也大起来(我是越钓越小
)今天中午甚至有一个blitz，不少人钓到。因为自己当时已经钓到了，外加因为左手前段
时间受伤，每次甩杆都剧痛，所以没有加入战团。就站在灯塔下观战。
每年在Fall run开始的时候，总可以见到些真正的牛人。昨天下午见到一牛人，海边乱
礁上众人一字排开，只有他，每两三下cast就会中一只，看得我对牛人的景仰之情如涛涛
江水... 实在是差距巨大。
海滩上钓鱼的人东方面孔很少，今天见到几个，好象是香港人，装备不错，水平很烂。
菜鸟我不想搭理，牛人又不想搭理我。在他们眼里，我大概也是菜鸟一个(跟他们比起来
，这是事实)。不过每天观摩牛人表演N小时，收获很多。
答网友问：Montauk fall run比较特别，环境很复杂，风浪很大，可能对新手不太合适。
而且真要能正儿八经开始钓，投入也很大(需要专门的衣服鞋子 |

发帖数: 522 | 49 在版上看到有兄弟要来LI Fall Run，呵呵，Montauk的fall run也算是一大盛况，没
去过，你不会知道原来这世界上还有这么多爱钓鱼的神经病。趴车场，海边，停满了房
车，人家是一两个月就住在海边钓鱼。高峰期随便一个weekday去,经常可以看到上百人
排在海边等待着Blitz。
如果你非常serious来钓鱼，简单介绍一下需要做的准备。
衣着方面。因为Montauk直接面对大西洋，基本风浪都很大，所以你必须有wader（比
较紧厚实又相对轻便的那种，wallmart有卖，$50)。不推荐那种潜水装，10月的
Montauk是非常冷的。一件雨衣也是必须，最好是收底的。这样你走下海找礁石的时候
，海水不会灌进你的wader。Korkers（一种钉鞋，可以自己去google 一下，这里便宜
的大概$40）也是必须，因为会有很多时候是在灯塔底下的礁石上钓，没有钉鞋，还是
站在干干的地方看比较好。帽子，头灯需要一顶，因为夜钓是最有收获的。我现在基本
都是夜钓。
装备方面，你需要有一支surf的鱼杆，至少要9尺以上（推荐至少10尺）。一体成型
的最好。因为很多时候你需要站 |
