So may accidents at US93 and Pierce Ferry Rd because the stop signs confuse
people. I've seen people run the stop sign on Pierce Ferry because they see
the second stop sign in the medium and get confused.
Also turning off US93 onto Pierce Ferry it's easy at highway speeds to fail
to see the stop sigh in the medium.
We could afford flashing LED lights on the 25 MPH sign going into Dolan, why
not on the stop signs entering high speed traffic on US93.

推荐cape point camp site。自助式check in。

有200多个位置。是在草地上，车直接停在旁边，有picnic的桌子，还有烧烤的架子。
卫生间也非常近。唯一的不足是不能淋浴。
建议先去camping site。然后往西走坐ferry到岛上玩。第二天在往北去玩。
不推荐坐几个小时的ferry回来。前年我们是坐了所有的ferry，结果凌晨两点多才回到
家。今年我们下午6点来钟就回来了。
最有趣的是去了精华区里推荐的一个地方（在莱特兄弟纪念碑西边），原以为是海鲜餐
馆，结果去了才知道是一个杂货店，顺便卖海鲜。 |

The drive from your house to the ferry terminal is not highway. A lot of
traffic light in between too. It may take you 30 minutes or more unless you

average 30-40min commute to NY via NJ Transit, and it is a OK neighborhood.
But, I have my reservation on buying a house in Little Ferry though. The
fact that you have to buy flood insurance turns me off, and it did happen

我们是1点的飞机到拉瓜迪亚，还要去酒店。所以估计最快也得大约2点半-3点左右到
ferry。这样最多能玩多少个项目？不能包括ellis岛吧？
此外我们还有一个整天和一个半天的时间安排，但是整天的时间跟旅游团了，6点结团
。所以也不能赶上全部项目的团。
如果ellis岛的意义重大必须去的话，考虑放弃纽约整天团的安排。

我一般地陪的路线是
在south ferry那里做免费的ferry和自由姐姐有个稍微近一点的接触，然后在乘坐
ferry返回Manhattan
顺着 Broadway向北走一点就是 那头牛，在往北走TD bank 教堂那里就是传说中的墙街
，东边一条街上broad Street就是 NYSE。 然后再顺着 Broadway往北走在左边平行的
一条街吧就是大坑遗址，这些都是步行的！
在北边都一点你就到了 City Hall， Brooklyn Bridge了，也就是唐人街不远了！ 唐
人街 center Street NQR 车的 cannal Street地铁站附近看看，可以吃点东西，
然后再顺着 cannal Street 和 Broadway开始 顺着Broadway 往北走 就是 SOHO，可以
沿途逛街一下。
再往北走 4 Street 稍微西边一点 就是 nyu， 东边 8 street那里就是St marks 日
本town
再往北走 14街 就是 Union Square，再往北 23街 一个小花园 继续北走 32街

两个都临水（夏天蚊子多）。第一个适合赛艇、跑步、骑车、遛狗、bbq、露天音乐会
等；第二个适合钓鱼，楼后也有大片运动场地。
第一个是不超过两层的townhouse结构，第二个我印象当中是个高层的大楼，这在nj乡
下比较少见。
感觉上，第一个周围居民不说是高尚人群，至少是积极的人群。第二个，出了大楼，周
围地区基本上蓝领。
交通上没有本质区别。购物，1比2方便。
再说说patco。住1，有两个选择，一个是collingswood站，一个是ferry ave站。
collingswood站小，免费停车位少，需要一大早去才有。但是步行可及，不一定非要开
车。ferry ave站大，有充足的免费车位，而且火车票低几毛钱。从家出来10分钟可到
车站。车站旁边有我比较喜欢的aldi连锁店。住2，就只能选ferry ave站。10分钟可达

building门口集结！！
坐Caltrain的同学可能有点不方便，因为下了Caltrain后还要坐那个 muni N, 或者 T
train，大概有20分钟，可以到达ferry building.
不过有一点值得注意的是，早上拿着示威的牌子啥的挤公共交通会很不方便，所以如果
有需要提前打印或者存放牌子的同学，我可以代为保管，在我办公室里，到时候周一大
部队到了，就去我那里拿，我公司在2nd and Folsom! 我公司楼下就有个fedex
printing的office，如果有打印可以直接选择那个in-store pickup，我去取。
如果是开车的同学最好carpool，在Ferry building附近有很多parking lot，在google

catch 6:10 or 7:45am ferry from Anacortes. Passenger fare is $13.15 both
ways.
I would strongly recommend you park your car at Anacortes ferry terminal and
take shuttle as passenger.
There are only two ferries back: 6:45 and 8:00pm.

但找不到了, 重新写一下好了, 顺便贴照片, 嘿嘿...
当时是和从东岸来的朋友一家一起去, 8月中, 4个大人, 3个孩子, 年龄分别是2岁半,
8岁, 10岁. 人数多, 所以行程安排得很松, 2天1夜.
有小朋友在, 要多准备零食, 饮料, 各种玩的东西, 毕竟开车要开很久. 我买了一堆粘
纸, 还有平时喜欢的玩具. 朋友2个大的孩子轮流陪我家小的玩, 所以路上还不错, 没
闹.
再推荐以下portable potty. 那时候正好小的开始拒绝穿尿布, 我太担心路上有意外了
, 除了带许多替换裤子衣服, 最大的帮助就是这个portable potty. 体积也小, 可以随
身带着走. 任何平的地方都可以用. 我们在后备箱里, 普通地面, 室外的椅子上都使用
过, 很干净也很方便. 国家公园里一个厕所到另外一个厕所的距离可能很远, 小朋友说
要上就要上的...

发帖数: 218 | 43 Friday harbor挺好的，开车过去只住一晚的话可以考虑上午从anacortes坐ferry到
Friday harbor,赶上中午的出海观鲸tour（包看到），然后下船以后在镇上晃晃吃个晚
饭然后傍晚去岛南边Pickett's Monument到岸边之前的草地看狐狸（运气好的话），我
曾在Pickett's Ln通到Monument的路上遇到狐狸妈妈带着小狐狸，还有几个年轻的都跑
到车旁边了。
住的话便宜的有Orca Inn（小小房间一张床，属于麻雀型），满的非常快。要舒适度高
一点的话大约200以上一晚，总的来说所有的旅馆酒店都在夏天周末尤其是过节都满的
非常早。
第二天就悠闲地环岛一周好了，有discover pass的可以在中午去lime klin state
park碰碰运气看看有没有Orca路过，之外值得停留的就是english camp和Roche harbor
了。然后挑好时间提前一两小时把车停到ferry排队处然后再逛逛镇子吃个东西都不错。
如果行程是三天两夜的话除非非常悠闲地发呆或走trail去，不然可能就没有必要在岛

总结了一些如下
1，Moody Gardens
最著名的景点。有海濱步道、玻璃金字塔內的人工熱帶雨林、來自全世界的各種蝴蝶、兩層樓高超大螢幕電影、水族館、4D影院、搭乘快艇等。四个园区，每个区票价10元。
2，Downtown
鼎盛时期应该是很热闹的，飓风过后就萧条了很多。隐约保留着Galveston当年的景象，有一些酒吧和餐馆，可以随兴走走，体验一下。有马车和DUCK TOUR。位置见图
从这里往北走,20号街对着的港口还有一些渔船，很多大水鸟停留在飓风后的残桩上慢条斯理地梳理着羽毛，毫不理睬你的镜头。这里还有一个OFFSHORE ENERGY CENTER MUSEUM，票价5元，外形像一个钻井平台，可以参观。
码头这里有一艘船打着广告出海看海豚的，我们去的时候没有人，不知道价钱。
