I did not find the 3 month resident requirement in the FAQ page. You will
need a IL driver license. I suggest you fill in the form and get anything
the form requires along the way.
When I was applying for the FOID, I just fill in the form and mailed it out
with a
$10 check.
for CFP, yes, you just go directly to the police station and get the finger
print at the same time. They won't bother you to make another appointment.

拒信中有两条理由：
1。Illinois Compiled Statutues, 430 ILCS 65/8, prohibits the Illinois State
Police from issuing a FOID card to anyone illegally in the united states.
2。Federal firearm law prohibits the transfer to or possession of firearms a
nd ammunition by aliens admitted to the United States under a non-immigrant
visa.

次小白鼠，基本情况如下
F-1 签证，绿卡申请已批，排期很快就到
参加了Illinois hunting safety course，买了Illinois hunting licence
去年11月交了申请，附上了hunting licence, I-20表，绿卡申请批准收据,并写了封短
信介绍我现在的status.
在等了3个月后终于收到回信，说我的申请被拒绝，因为他们和USCIS联系过，确认了我
绿卡还没批。我不死心，给警察局打电话，问他哪条法律说非绿卡就不能申请 FOID
card了。接电话的姐姐态度很好，说要查一下，然后给我打回来。过了1个小时警察局
来电话，告诉我Illinois 刑法哪条哪款明确说非移民不能申请的。至此彻底放弃，希
望对大家有帮助。 |

是悲催的规定啊。

legally from a gun store, a background check is performed. How many
background checks does it take. Until someone who has been treated or being
treated for mental health issue has their information correlated with the
FBI database, nothing will change. I agree more guns in the hands of the

number就可以申请，其中Alien number对于F1学生来说就是I94. 但是能不能批下来就

这个问题明白了的话下面的问题就清楚了。
反倒是IL的FOID Act这种"He or she is not an alien who has been admitted to
the United States under a non-immigrant visa"的问法有歧义。
昨天我专门问了问english speaking的同事，人也觉得这种写法很奇怪。
