The nation’s per-pupil spending on K-12 public schools dropped in 2013 for
the third year in a row, reversing more than a decade of funding increases,
according to federal data released Wednesday.
Spending continued to vary widely across the country, from a low of $6,432
per student in Utah to a high of $20,530 per student in the District of
Columbia. The biggest spenders were largely clustered in the Northeast,

Washington is in a fit of collective terror over the "sequester," aka the

. Take for instance his proposal to increase spending for the Department of
Education by $1.78 billion over last year’s spending level, bringing the
total agency funding to a staggering $69.8 billion.

1)剩下的一万多还可以claim child care tax credit吗?
2)如果不能,怎样交税最少?放5000到spending account上,还是不用spending
account,等tax return的时候再claim?
3)除了child care tax credit,还有别的项可能受spending account的影响吗?
总之,就是要不要在child care spending account上放5000?
我们的基本情况:税表填1040,一个博后,一个全奖学生,除了工资没有其它收入。
