What he really says is: design a set of classes so you can easily implement
the above function.
He'll throw stuff in later like: what if the items in a vending machine are
not fixed? (e.g. vending machine held sodas, now it holds chips).
What if instead of bool getItem(), I want to return the price of the item?

于是乎约了今天早上的appointment。
工人们来了以后，就接上一堆大吸尘器开始吸，这时一个专门的sales person就上来跟
我和我老公忽悠，说75元只包括Vends(出风口）不包括Intake(入风口），而入风口是
最脏的地方，建议我们同时作入风口清理，但是入风口清理（＄275），加apply some
chemicals（$150)要400多，老公心动，我坚决不同意，我觉得没做调查，不知道市场
价的情况下，不能轻易答应。但是那个sales马上给我们10%折扣，又说免费送两种
chemicals.还忽悠我老公（因为我态度坚决，所以sales转向忽悠我老公）说市场上再
也找不到比他们家便宜的了。最后老公被忽悠晕，转过来和sales一起说服我。我还是
觉得贵，决定只清理intake & vend, 一共付$300.
workers&sales干完活走了以后，老公打电话问了几家做air duct cleaning的公司，有
一家给了$150 vends+intake |

随带写写我的一些面试想法。
我快一半的面试经验都是微软的，它最近招的挺勤的，机会不少，3个月里我面了2个组
，直接网上投就行了。我觉得微软的面试不太同于其他的公司。我经验里，google问的
很算法，mathworks问的很细节，但微软对于你的背景和behavior的问题讨论的很多，
似乎更看重你处于一个团队中所起的作用。而对于这样的问题，最好加入自己的一些经
历和理解去回答，体现自己的独特性。
技术上，无论是算法还是test，一定要注意互动，多问，甚至发挥一下都行。比如那个
常见的vending machine，我的组是network，我当时就说可以增加联网vending
machine，面试官明显表现很大的兴趣。
最好不要冷场，尽管大部分都是他问你答，但是找机会多说说，特别是lunch
interview，能产生一定的印象分，而且也能对他的思路产生一定的往自己的方向引导
的作用。
不要局限于1级吧，2级，senior的都试试，我室友也拿到qualcomm的senior，都是非名
校的fresh graduate

学校可没这种事，这也就是这个daycare, 一般的daycare 也没有这种事。
学校，公司为了大家方便，也有cafeteria, vending machine. 但是有哪个学校，公司
说你只能买了吃，不能自己带，不能从外面买了带来吃。一样的 snack ， 你必须从我
们的vending machine 买。如果你吃不惯提供的食物，你就别吃，在家吃饱了来。还不
行的，你换学校，换公司。
有这个理吗？
再说，小孩子的饮食更要注意。就是餐馆，外面的食物不能带，小孩子吃的东西也是可
以带的。 |

还要牺牲感恩节晚餐时间去排长队。
看到Macys 现在有卖electronics 的vending machine, 里面好像有卖iPad mini and
iPad air, 原价。
不说最近疯狂的Macy's gift card thing, AMEX 近日来在lowes, staples都有买$50-
10, $75-25的活动，而且lowes, staples都可以买Macy's gift card. 算下来如果用
amex买Macy's 的卡，再去vending machine里买iPad, 不就是至少20% discount吗，还
不用去target排队了。
lowes deal ends tomorrow, 11/15, staples ends 12/10.

最后问题还是在walmart解决了，不过是个superwalmart，产品更多样些。
我想要的是带塑料旋盖的空桶，这样可以去water vending machine自己打水，而不是
从primo这样的卖水公司买，或者去超市买现成5gal水，应该便宜很多。貌似有些超市
是不带桶买水$12左右一桶，带空桶换买是$6左右一桶，而vending的水大概不到$2一桶。
Lowes, Officedepot, Walmart，HEB大概都带水一起卖，只有walmart只单卖带盖子的
桶。 |

用美国来讨论。 美国vending machine一瓶可乐大约卖1-2美元，折合人民币10元左右
。不知道中国卖多少钱，估计街头老太太也就卖2-3人民币。同样生产一瓶可乐，本来
价值应该是相同的，但是价格却差了5-6倍。也就是说美国生产一瓶可乐的GDP是中国的
5-6倍。
这个显然是不正确的。既然同样的产品，价值应该是一样的。莫非人民币被低估了？那
么怎么来解释这个问题呢？
用别的商品如汽车， 电脑，飞机等等，得出的结论也未必就是同样的商品价值相同。
那么GDP还有什么意义呢？费解，请指教。 |
