first, because this will be our main recreation car. and we want to drive it
to skii resorts during the winter time and camping trips during summer.
we actually like smaller cars if possible. big cars are so hard to park. so:
MDX: more reliable, save money and time for Not needing to fix things, could
be better for camping trips (can carry more)
xc60: nimble, less gas cost (use regular), cheaper (if we go for the lowest
config), could be less reliable than MDX.
what do you think about this summary?

2. does volvo still have 5 yr free maintenance? It's a big plus.

发帖数: 1530 | 14 I was in the same situation two years ago.
I decided to go with top line XC60 t6, because I did not have a plan for 2
kids yet.
We just returned from a Ski trip with 4 hours driving in snow and 30 mph
wind gust. One thing I like about XC60 is its weight. You can hardly feel
the cross wind, which can shift your car a little bit. Another one I liked
over MDX, is that XC60 is very quiet. Honda's car is well known for road
noise.
Gas wise, you should be fine if it's not daily commute. It takes regular
gas, but MPG is horrible (for T6). Premium gas will increase MPG, so at the
end, it costs you the same. Safety comes at cost of higher gas bill due to
its weight.
And if you drive local, City Safety (which is standard to all XC60) is a
must. It saved me three times by applying brakes automatically, when I was
distracted.
On the other side, I also liked MDX for the money (and its 3rd row). I didn
't get it, because
1. road noise
2. no plan for 2 kids yet
3. due for an update
Actually, 2014 MDX prototype is out, and it has all the safety features, but
it won't be available until late this year. Not sure if you can wait then.

cx9) ... you can see it from the test details. everything held the same, the
closer the supporting poles are, the harder for the roof to give up.

However, I would go with Volvo XC60 for sure, especially if size doesn't
matter.
No other car at the similar size is safer than xc60. And it's a very balance
car in terms of
Interior, exterior, handling and feeling.

volvo XC60还是比 RDX牛，不能光看车重系数，毕竟实际承压还是XC60牛一点
但是MDX车子要大一圈，碰撞中内部空间缓冲可能更好
所以安全性我觉得真不好说，看具体情况了
整体来说大车要好，价格一样我觉得MDX核算一些，如果XC60 3w5以内就拿下T6+那些好
的主动安全配置，我觉得 貌似XC60好一些
MDX安全我倒不是太担心，这种大车安全性大都不错 |

自己看这个叫tintin的在7楼先骂人的。另外一个在felix的帖子里面也是跳出来就骂。
后来发现自己提供的数据对自己不利，屁也不放就跑了。要是这些人有礼貌一些我还会

更别提12版的RDX比别人的一半都不到,连豆腐渣都算不上吧
唯一能吹的就是13版RDX的Strength-to-weight ratio比XC60高一点点，这还是建立在
比别人轻10%的基础上的。
