My 2011 Ford Explorer has been in the shop for 2 months now. It has 70K
miles on it and needs the entire engine replaced. Basically heard a clicking
noise in the engine while driving and took it in. They said if I had kept
driving it, the engine would have died. Long story but it was built wrong
during production and needs total engine replacement. It's covered under
warranty but I know it will never drive the same again, and absolutely do
not feel safe in it. I am trading it in ASAP. Sad thing is I still owe a
fortune on it. Ford totally screwed me. I will never ever buy Ford again.

After purchasing my 2014 Ford Explorer XLT in March of this year, my drivers
side axle has been replaced, the bolt/nut on the axle were replaced, tires
were re-mounted for shaking/vibration in front end, one tire was replaced,
strut mount was put on, and now it supposedly needs a sub frame bushing? And
none of the above has helped my creaking/axle noises or vibration in the
front end. I will never purchase another FORD vehicle! I'm extremely upset
and am currently in a rental due to all the repair work that is being done
to my Explorer. |
