According to their calculations, the median EV cost $554 per mile of range
in 2012, and has been slashed by more than half to $214 in 2021.
Tesla cars, which are calculated separately due to the automaker's industry-
leading range, have seen improvement from $352 in 2012 to $173 per mile in
2021.
Both Teslas and non-Teslas lag well behind gas cars, which have hovered

油箱，那不是轻易可以把这个数值减半。

mile to the Jetta's $0.27.
My own car: $0.05 per mile:
28 KWh battery for a range of 112 miles with SCE.
$0.20 for a KWh.
Pros: No emission, no need for oil change, quiet ride, fast acceleration...
Cons: Range anxiety. | M*******z
