一个家住址，在Wake school district 有几个Proximity choices. 从小学到高中。
家长是否能选这些choices的任何一条。 换句话说，Proximity choices 内的学校(K-
12)，都是那个住址能去的。房子都这些学校有优先选择权。
2006 年后建的CARY新房，有地下室嘛? 龙卷风来了，往哪躲? |

also check with wake county's public school system on the web. Type in
your address and it will show you the assigned school for the current school
year. |

one house address is associated with multiple pattern (K-12) as proximity
choices. My kids will be seated one of those middle schools for sure. as of
our first choice will be verified with the opening seats.
My kids want to go to Davis Drive Middle School and Green Hope High which is
one of our assigned home schools.
The school district said that once my kids get into those school, they will
be there till graduate and won't worry about the reassignment.
does anyone know anything about the green hope high? how's their AP classes? |

Assigned School 是A， 你就有优先权去Ａ。假如Ａ那里生源不满，其他地区的孩子也
可以上，只要他们的地址中Proximity choices 中也有Ａ。 我也是新来的，不是太
明白这个Assigned school 和Proximity choices 之间的关系和优先权。
请高人指教。 |

发帖数: 492 | 7 是的。 大多数好校区都有 Overflow 。不只是 CARY。。加州也是这样。
Based on my understanding,一个home address 有好几个学校 (K-12) 是 proximity
choices. 你可以有你的第一，第二选择。 (of course, from your assigned schools
)。 至于你能不能去你的第一选择， 要看那个学校有不有空位。 如果能个学校有大
量空位， 别的孩子也能去， 前提是，他们也是在这个校区。有这样的proximity
pattern.

发帖数: 8667 | 8 Cary的学校经常在换，因为不断有新学校和不断有新小区。Davis Drive 附近算旧学区
了，相对稳定点。
小学一般只有两个选择，一个是 Traditional，一个是year round。中学应该只有一个
选择。的学校都不错。学校选择看住址。前几年，换的很频繁。
学校好坏可以查这里，里面是通过率百分比。

一般都没地下室。有的房子有，这里人基本没有龙卷风经验。 |
