I followed the instructions in the
/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server
copy this file to /etc/init.d
and then linked it to the following two files:
/etc/rc3.d/S99mysql /etc/rc0.d/K01mysql
Then after I reboot my PC, mysql server does not
show up. The general way to startit up is:
/usr/local/mysql/bin/safe_mysqld --user=mysql & |
