现在国内读高中， 以后想回美国读大学， 如何操作？ 父母可以随其一起来么？ 读大
学的学费是跟国际学生的学费一样么？ 录取时比国际学生会有什么优势么？谢谢大家

发帖数: 66 | 2 I had a roommate in college has the same background. She was born and lived
in the States till 5 years old, then came back for college when she was 18.
She got admitted and only paid in state fee because her dad studied in the
same school before. However, the kid should only paid in state fee after
living in the State where the college is for one year, because after one
year one can be qualified as the resident of the State. For instance, the
kid can come to the state to enroll in a language program affiliated with
the college and live here with the parents for a year. After she becomes the
residence of the State, she can apply the college paying only in state fee
or even apply for scholarship. There are a lot of scholarships for
undergrads even the kid did not get it the first semester. The kid should
not pay international fee because he/she has US passport. The Parents should
be very easy to get visa to stay with her for a while and the kid can apply
residency (aka. Green card) for the Parents when he/she turns 18. Please
check with school to make sure. I think what I know is the general rule. |

发帖数: 283 | 4 想来美国读大学就考SAT直接申请呗，录取是没什么优势了不过很多给公民的奖学金是
可以拿的。比起国际学生，只是不用申请F1签证而已。
学费的话要求在本州住满一年才给州内学费所以大二开始可以交州内学费，大一是州外
学费。
父母不能陪同。 |

发帖数: 66 | 6 Some schools have scholarship to waive the out of state fee even for
international students (in your case for the 1st year), you might want to
look into all the scholarships that school has to offer.My old roommate had
her mom with her for the first semester and she visited few more times
throughout and every times she stayed few months. But i don't know what type
of visa the Mom had, maybe just visiting visa.
