She does not need to transfer the H-4. it is not employer-specific like the
H-1B. Her H-4 will remain valid until ??????? even after yours is
transferred. That being said, some families like to submit an H-4 along
with any H-1B transfer, to ensure that the expiration dates match (since in
the H-1B transfer case we can request the H-1B be extended).
We cannot submit an EAD extension request prior to 120 days before it's
expiration. That means it just too early to request another card because
the existing card is still valid for so long.
Also, the existing EAD will not expire or become invalidated by the H-1B
transfer. The EAD is tied to her H-4 status, and thus will remain valid. | z****3
