This email message is in reply to your inquiry regarding the Form I-485,
Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, which your
constituent, *** filed with USCIS on October 25, 2016.
USCIS electronic records indicate that an element of the background check
process in your constituent’s permanent residency case is not yet complete.
After this process is complete, the Alien File (A-File) containing your
constituent’s Form I-485 may be referred to an administrative review that
will confirm the placement of this case in a processing queue from which it
may be assigned to an officer for adjudication at the Nebraska Service
Center (NSC). Please note that we are unable to grant requests for
expedited processing in employment-based Form I-485 cases.
While we are unable to determine the date on which your constituent’s
permanent residency case will be assigned to an adjudicating officer and
when the adjudication process may be complete, you may submit a follow-up
inquiry to the NSC Congressional Unit after approximately 60 days from the
date of this email message.
