Rake receiver provides diversity using the multipath components, the
result seems can have the effect to reduce the multipath interference too, maybe
use Rake receiver in a different way? like a pilot aided rake demodulation or sth?

CDMA signal is inheritantly wideband and have to
deal with multipath problem.
For gaochao's problem, it depends on your problem.
If you are working on some practical system like
IS-95 system, in which long-code is used, no
equalization, rake receiver is used to perform a
maximum ratio combining to combat multipath.
