I think even if a person send an email to the NSF program director (for
requesting the full texts of a funded NSF proposal), the director may just
say you should request it from the PI directly.
For an ongoing NSF funded projects, I don't think it MUST be open accessible
to anybody, and it should be under the permission of the PI.(otherwise if
the ongoing research ideas are taken away by other guys, then who will be
responsible for it? We know the "conflict of interest" and

his career proposal. He said yes, but never sent it to me. I know he didn't
forget it, jut does not want to give it out.
Yes, all funded proposals entered public domain. You can ask a copy from NSF
, just more effort. usually the PO will suggest you getting it directly from
the PI.

except for a couple of Chinese professors - some of them simply didn't reply
. But personally I feel it ok. You are not the only one who asked for it.
Some of them are VERY supportive, sharing with me their supporting letters,
budget, writing tips and almost everything even I didn't ask for. |
