是乱投的, 上来就毙了, 所以严肃的proposal其实比例还可以.
而career proposal因为大家都写得可以, 竞争就显得激烈一点.
需要一点运气的成分.
我不知道哪里可以查到这个比例. 这个也跟方向有关. 不过总体
感觉不应该太惨.
career award怎么说也就是一个funding program而已. 保持平常心吧.

拿到funding的, 不用担心. 我后来想想, 觉得他说的也有道理.
有意思的是, 他是用中文跟我聊的, 搞的我很不适应. 很多专业名词
我不知道中文应该怎么说. 早知道我应该查一下再跟他侃的.

number of submitted proposals and evaluation, just like the one I posted -
someone gave me the summary from last year. I looked at the recent three
years. There is not much difference each year. 200 CAREER proposals 我们
program 还没有听说过.

其实我觉得Idea都差不多，我看到几个同行的Proposal，乍一看还以为是我自己写的，
从Idea到结构甚至很多句子都雷同，毕竟都是中国人不是Native Speaker

藏着掖着好几年专门为了写proposal呢。已经写进paper的idea，好的立即会遍地开花
成为大家的idea。不好的或者暂时没有结果的，写出来也照样被reviewer批判。再有就
是些自认为不错，但是不怎么被大家接受的idea。这种idea既然在paper里就不被广泛
接受，写进proposal里，命运自然也是凶多吉少。
所以我觉得最终还是看写作能力以及在community里的人缘之类的因素。或者，写个新
奇的idea恰巧遇上慧眼。不过这种概率估计比车祸都小。。。

为今年钱多。有很多是不值得评的，很容易就剔除掉。而我估计career里面可能Good以
上的不少。

２０－３０％funding rate,那真是天上掉馅饼了。
现在基本上都是１０％ 左右的funding rate.
美国真是没钱了。
按道理，faculty的数量没有太大增长了。
另外一个解释就是，现在的faculty更爱写proposal,更爱做研究，或者under massive
pressure.

最近到俺家来传教的特别多，连传佛教的都碰上了。结果聊了一聊感觉那人自己思想有
问题。反正精神都不大正常，人人都说世界马上就要毁灭那种。可是，俺在这个节骨眼
可不希望惹怒任何大仙。要是能有用，俺所有的教都一起信了。。。
