to apply for H1B. This is a new center that has existed for 2 years or so.
However, I am not familiar with this matter. Would anyone please provide
some advice?
Is it a difference process at universitities than at companies? THANKS! |

(1) H1B in university is different from H1B in industry.
Advantage: it's not restricted by quote.
Disadvantage: if you want to transfer to industry later, it does not
help. you still need to get the Industry
H1B quota.
(2) Time:
Generally, the H1B validity time is the same as your contract time.
It also depends on real situation.
If your offer letter give you one year contract, but it says it's
possible for 3 years. The univers
