up a picture that tells people everything on your website.

female，考虑。我朋友是Search committee。而且国人名字人家看不出来男女，老外名
字一看就知道了

female applicants start sending in pictures, maybe the search committee's
job would be more fun.

BTW, I think there might be a way the department can check the gender even
if you did not list it in your cv. Right? I heard a saying that the
percentage of female among the onsite candidates should be above a
percentage figure. And the ad always says "women and minorities are
especially encouraged to apply". If they do not know the gender, how could
they "encourage".
