可是每次开始要写一片新文章的时候心理感觉还是很畏惧，每次都要经过好几天的酝
酿才能开始下笔，
虽然最后还是能够吧文章给写出来。 不是到各位faculty有没有这种感觉， 如何才能

发帖数: 2293 | 6 动笔之前这个阶段，兴奋之中会觉得有些紧张和焦虑，如果你有perfectionist倾向那
么这种感觉可能会更明显。我觉得挺正常的，没有必要刻意去改。
另外动笔之前好好酝酿几天、把关键性的问题彻底想透，不是件坏事。 | m****m

好的杂志总是要求改个三四遍，而且前两遍都是major revision

looking after writers with writer's block.
I feel any writing project has two phases: 1. fear and 2. greed. To get
started in writing, you are stepping into the unknown and you are not sure
if what you write is going to be good or not. So, you are fearful, and you
are paralyzed by the fear. Usually the best thing to do is "just do it". Don
't be a perfectionist. Write whatever comes to your mind. "There is no good
writing, only good rewriting". Once you get started, the momentum may carry
you over to phase two. You feel good about your paper and can't wait to
finish. Along the way, it might be a good idea to get your students, postdoc
, and colleagues to help you such as writing certain parts of the MS, so
that it is not too solitary an endeavor. Having an incremental goal and
reward mechanism also helps. For example, if I write one page today, I will
do something I really want to do. Or when I finish this paper, I will go to
Bermuda for a nice vacation. | t**********n

long before the deadline for proposal to
make sure I will not miss the deadline.

Just as you said, the best way is to start it without fear. Indeed as long
as I start to write, the feeling of fear
disappear very quickly and I can roll out most of what I'd like to say.

发帖数: 275 | 14 Agree. When I start writing, I just write down whatever I can think of,
without caring much about grammar, logic, etc. Once I have a draft, no
matter how bad it is, I feel much more comfortable in revising it.
Starting is always the most difficult part.
