发帖数: 444 | 1 presentation做的貌似还不错，但是one on one meeting很一般，感觉准备不是很充分
。最后写thank you note给15个人，有11个回复。回复比较positive的都是去听过talk
的，但其中很多人不在one on one meeting上，也不在SC里，不知道他们的意见能占多
大比重。
今天等的心焦，就回头看看那几封热情洋溢的thank you note的回复，这样就会多点信
心。

然后vice dean之类的要不没回复，要不就是一句话。
由于家庭原因，这次基本是最后一次申请了，非常希望拿到这个职位。而且我也觉得自
己真的很适合这个职位也可以做好，希望SC也是这样认为的。 |

发帖数: 106 | 4 从这几个正面回复来看，有2种情况：一是人家对你真的很感兴趣想招你；二是对方写
信太不Professional了，或许对每个人都这么回，目的是想hold住面试者不要take其他
offer，毕竟都到四月底了。感觉像是前者，祝好运！
P.S.我当时得到的回信比你冷淡多了，但是最后还是选了我作为Top candidate

发帖数: 444 | 5 谢谢鼓励。因为我是交叉专业，one on one meeting时见的vice dean阿，还有好几个
associate dean都没聊啥实质的东西，也都没有去听我的talk，之后的thank you
letter要不没回信，要不回的非常简单。Search chair的反应也很冷淡，我也不知道其
他人positive的反馈到底占多大比重。自己是第一个candidate，好不容易等到所有的
人面完了，现在又要等他们search committee开会研究，真是拖死人哪。

发帖数: 106 | 6 这些领导头头不去听你报告很正常，人家schedule都很紧而且大部分也不专注学术吧；
不回复或简单客套回复你更正常，他们又不care系里最后选谁为top一般也不会干涉，
只是跟每个面试者打打广告；SC当然要把他的service做得professional。。。你这种
种迹象太正常不过啦。别瞎猜了，等好消息吧，系里faculty开会讨论之后一般2天内会
通知top的甚至当下就发通知了，因为现在都已经这么晚了，再不通知人家都签其他
offer了

发帖数: 2223 | 23 嗯，他们应该在等top candidate的回复....以前有个据我的学校，回信根你的一模一
样，大意就是我们希望你继续对我们感兴趣，如果有新消息一定要告诉我们啊。当时我
发的thank you letter全部都回复了，可是最后也没有给我offer，所以这个回复不回
复跟offer也没什么关系。
这个学校最后令我很不爽的是系头通知我他们选择另外一个candidate的时候，就给我
发了个很短的email，连个电话都没有。我觉得经过Onsite什么的，你最起码打个电话
告诉我结果吧？

我回信问具体meeting的内容，说是
The meeting is in follow up to the search committee’s recommendation to the
dean about your candidacy for the ** position. Keep us posted on things
and good luck.
这个应该是差不多了吧。和dean 见面一般谈什么呢？主要是我下周就39周了，说不定
没等见到dean就生了，希望不会再节外生枝。 |
