mac vs pc (win/linux) is more relevant to your productivity - which one you
are more familiar with and can navigate faster, you probably have the answer
already.
setting a clean and nice-looking desktop system is totally a different issue
. you can do it with either a PC or a Mac.
if yo don't like cluttered desktop, buy a laptop and connect with external
monitors. you can use wireless mouse and keyboard to reduce wires as well.
I need GPUs for my work, so I have a big machine in my office (running Linux,
same as all my lab computers). it is eye catching, so is my 34" ultrawide
monitor. To me, productivity is #1, nice-looking comes second.

发帖数: 13752 | 5 我以前用Unix/Linux和Windows，现在用Mac。Mac也挺好用的。
Mac的命令行界面和Linux非常接近，因为OS X也是Unix的一种。图形界面和Windows差
别比较大，习惯了就好了。用Mac加Macport（或homebrew），ssh, vim, latex, gcc,
python等等软件都很容易抓到，比较方便。
不过我在iMac上装了三个虚拟机，Windows, Linux, FreeBSD各有一个，所以也可以说
在用四种系统。:)
