going with Sean Farrell, we’re going with Booker Reese. Turn it in.’ But
he didn’t hear the Booker Reese part of it because of the noise.
This is bad and plain stupid, he should have shouted "Booker Reese! Booker
Reese!" It's all his fault. This is like in the movies when the bad guys
holding his gun against the good guy and then just started TALKING,
endlessly, until the good guy finds a gun and shoot him.
BTW I also don't believe it would make any difference had they picked the
other guy.

This kind of things happen.
Back in 1994, we were waiting for Samaranch to announce the host for 2000 OG
on TV. The first words he said were, "Thank you Beijing ...". Then we all
thought Beijing was chosen. Everyone cheered. Turned out it was Sydney.

Had they gotten Booker Reese in the first round, they did not need to trade
their 1983 first round to get Reese in the second round. A 1983 first round
(where there were great talents in QB position) would potentially help them
through the QB crisis.
