But why don't you do everything together? Otherwise you'd have to mention
that you have applied for 485 before, and hence you don't have to pay for
the fee, etc.

and AP is included or free, if applied with 485.
EAD and AP may take about 3 months, and a green card may take 3 to 6
months or even more.
If you want to apply for 485 first, and then wait to see how long it
takes, by the time you know that 485 takes longer than 3 months and then
apply for EAD and AP, again you need 3 months from then. So by the time
you get EAD and AP (maybe 6 months from now), you will quite possibly
get your green card by then. There's no point to apply for EAD and AP
later than 485.

your company requires you to do that, then there's no other option. You can
let him file 485 first, and then you file EAD/AP by yourself immediately
after that to avoid the lawyer fee.
The filing fee for EAD/AP is included with 485 filing fee.

3. Two photos meeting USCIS requirements (Attached to the form)
4. Copy of I-485 Receipt Notice (if not concurrently filed with I-485)
5. Copy of Form I-94, both sides.
6. Copy of passport biographical page and visa stamps.
7. Copy of I-797 Approval Notice(s) for H1b and OPT, and OPT card both
sides.
Advance Parole Application
1. Form I-131, Application for Travel Document
2. No additional fee required
3. Two photos (Attached to the form)
4. Copy of I-485 Receipt Notice (if not concurrently filed with I-485)
5. Copy of Form I-94, both sides.
