I spoke to an Immigration Service Officer at TSC today regarding the
increase in I-485 RFEs for birth certificate. She explained this was a
result of a change in intake processing procedures, which resulted in the
birth certificates being removed from the I-485 supporting documents.
所以，解决的办法和大家讨论的一样，同样的材料再寄一篇就可以。估计这是最容易解
决的一个RFE了。希望和我一样收到同样485 RFE的人都能够早日变绿。 |

6. What is the step-by-step intake process that occurs once a petition is
received at a Lockbox Facility?
The Lockbox Service provider performs the following activities when
processing incoming applications:
# Receive, open, sort and stage mail.
# Prepare and scan documents.
# Enter document data in system from scanned images.
# Accept or reject applications and related fees based on business rules.
# Balance applications and fees.
# Deposit payments to the U.S. Treasury
# Send receipt notices for accepted applications to the applicant and
designated representative.
# Return rejected applications to the applicant or designated representative.
# Transmit application data to USCIS and payment data to U.S. Department of
Treasury.
# Send application files to the appropriate USCIS service center or field
office for further processing.
In addition, USCIS-staffed Case Resolution Units adjudicate fee waiver
requests and resolve issues with application packages so they can be
accepted and sent to a USCIS office for further processing.
