conditional Green card. I am currently in H1B work visa and I plan to leave
the company once I submit the greencard application.
As far as I know I need to submit form: I130,I485,G325A,I765(EAD needed).
And I have some question on mind, hope you can help us:
1. Since my husband is a US citizenship, what document will we needed to
show his citizenship status?? He has a birth certificate but I heard some
people we need his valid passport to apply the GC for me. Is that true? Is
his valid passport necessary? Since his passport is expired, if it is
necessary I have to renew it before I submit all forms and documents.
2.If I conduct a concurrent application, will I send all the forms and
documents to one address in one package? Or I need to sent those materials
to different address in different packages but at the same time?
3.I know we need to include the medical exam results in the application
materials, but where we can get the medical exam? All regular hospitals or
just specific organization or agency?
4. Do I need to change my name before I submit the GC application? Or my
name (last name )doesn't matter? |

发帖数: 12623 | 2 I suggest you also file form I-131 for Advance Parole. Both EAD and Advance
Parole are free when you apply for adjustment of status. You never know when
you may need it.
The list of forms is more complicated than that. Your main forms will be I-
130, I-485, I-765, I-131, and each form will have many supporting forms and
documents. For example, you will need three G-325A's: one for each of you
for the I-130, since this is for a spouse, and then one for the beneficiary
for the I-485.
The I-485 will also need an I-864 or I-864EZ Affidavit of Support, and the I
-693 medical exam results in a sealed envelope. You should read the
instructions for each form for more details.
You may also want to put a G-1145 in front of everything for notification,
but this is really unimportant.

4. What do you mean change your name "before" you submit your GC application
? Usually, people change their names or not when they marry. You are already
married. So did you change your name? You should use whatever name you have

Currently I didn't change my name and still use my Chinese name. I am
wondering if I can carry my husband's last name, then the immigration
officer will believe my marriage is true. But I think it won't matter.
Also except marriage license and the abstract of marriage license, what else
can we use to approve the marriage??We didn't buy house and our bank
accounts were still separated. Will the separated bank accounts affect my
application?? I am thinking about to include our photos.. |

发帖数: 12623 | 4 Nope. Many people who marry don't change their names. Nobody will care. Plus
, changing names causes lots of hassle with documents with different names
when you travel.
There is a list of possible evidence in the I-130 instructions. You say you
didn't buy a house; so you rent? Do you guys have a lease together? That
would be evidence.
If you don't have a joint bank account, open one now and include
documentation of that. By the time of the interview you will have several
statements.
Do you guys have car insurance together? Do one of you designate the other
person on any of your financial things?
Photos are good.

I was filling out the I130 form, and see a question regarding to my i94
expiration date. But I didn't see my expiration date there, there is only D/
S F1 showing there. Should I put my H1B expiration date since I am in H1B,
or I should put my F1 expiration date(but my f1 has expired)??
