发帖数: 39 | 1 大概是七八年前吧，一中国小兄弟毕业前来面试，公司临时叫我去会会他。跟他含喧之
后拿起他的简历快速流揽了一下。只见他的 skill sets 里列着：Expertise in
Windows 95/NT ... Fluquent with ... Familiar with ...
说句老实话，我工作了几年，也就用了用 NT，也不认为自己是 Expert in NT。现在来
了个 NT Expert, 我凭什么来考察呢？另外这位小兄弟还是 95 大拿呢。不过把 NT 和
95 列在一起，倒是让我有的问了。于是我问到：What's the difference between NT
and 95?
这位小兄弟的回答令我颇为诧异。他答到：Not much difference. Just one needs
login, the other doesn't. 回答完毕。
我掩住诧异随便又问了几个其他问题，面试结束。HR的美国MM问我面试如何，我就把
NT/95的事说了一下。这美国MM说这小兄弟的 integrity 有问题，就让他走人了。 |

发帖数: 132 | 2 修饰词当然是尽量少用得好。多在简历中用量词。我看简历从不看修饰词的。
但是，兄弟，就事论事，你说精通和擅长怎么区别？别人或许认为自己是精通级的，可
是刚好碰上你老兄是个大师，认为他也就是个熟悉级。你能就此断定别人是在撒谎吗？

lot of useful informations. Being an interviewer is nothing special. If you
start to work in a company and your group is recruit someone, you will
become an interviewer (at least it is in my company, everyone have chance to
talk to candidate and offer their opinion).
I was an interviewer several times. I can tell you, exaggeration is a big
no-no. Actually once I refered my friend to a position in my group. They

the saying that Chinese are mean to Chinese? You think American interviewer
will be fine with it?
WHY can't you guys just learn from this story!!! I didn't feel much attitude
from LZ's post. Frankly, I feel what we lack during job hunting is the
interview skills, including resume preparation. It is a great learning
opportunity for people to share their views as interviewer. Even if someone

发帖数: 753 | 5 Exactly. So the lesson is "don't 吹破"! That include not only reading
those books to gain extra knowledge for possible questions, but also how to
handle the answering of those questions. It is rare that someone can answer
every questions well. The key is how to handle the questions you don't
know or don't know well nicely. Actually, questions themselves are not
important. Especially for onsite interview, they are not just look at the
answer. More importantly, they are look at you as a person. |

The point is very clear. If you say you are the expert in some field, BE
PREPARED to be asked. It's not because the interviewer want to question you
to death. No one is perfect, no one knows everything. So what does
interviewer ask? Ask something that you are not familiar? Of course he will
ask you about what you feel yourself expert.
