The Hackett Group (NASDAQ: HCKT), a global strategic business advisory,
operations consulting and finance strategy firm, is a leader in business
best practices, business benchmarking, and transformation consulting
services including strategy and operations, working capital management,
and globalization advice.
We are seeking a senior java application developer in the Philadelphia
area to assist with our product development. This is a permanent, full
time position with minimal travel. The ideal candidate for this position
would have the following skills and experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or related
discipline and at least 5 years of equivalent work experience and
training is required.
• Strong understanding of object oriented design and relational
database fundamentals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team
environment.
• Self motivated and flexible.
• Experience building java based, database agnostic solutions.
Some expertise with Oracle is required however.
• Web development experience and skills including J2EE, Ajax, Web
Services, HTML 5, CSS and Javascript.
• Experience deploying applications Tomcat in an enterprise,
clustered environment.
• Experience with JPA, Spring/iBatis or similar data access
layers.
• Experience writing resource efficient, multi-threaded, portable
java applications utilizing derby / JavaDB or equivalent local database.
• Understanding of data encryption (bouncy castle, GPG, AES, etc.)
and application security best practices
• Developing and deploying custom portlets for the Vignette or
similar portal environment a plus but not required.
• Experience with NetBeans and Eclipse or equivalent IDE.
• Experience with working a on a Linux or Unix platform.
• Experience with deploying applications with a collaborative
process utilizing source control, version control, and release
management. Experience with SVN, Perforce or equivalent source code
