I lied about another counter offer at negotiation time and the new company
bumped the total offer package from $170,000 (base $130,000) to $260,000 (
base $155,000 ) to match the fake counter offer and also bumped the offered
titled two levels up. Shows the importance having a counted offer. I have 9
years of software development experience and current and new company is in
Seattle Area. Just wanted to say it to somebody about the guilt which I
cannot refuse to have.

offer，他们也愿意给你更多来拿下你。如果觉得他不行，那么就算counter offer是真
的也不会match。 |

2. Be reasonable. Reflect your true value using the counter;
3. Take your own risk. Make sure you can afford the loss;
4. As to integrity, well, HRs never give you the full value for negotiation
purposes. You need a leverage to realize your full value. Biz is biz. You
still go to dealership to buy cars, without paying the sticker price, right?

many firms won't issue offer letter before you verbally accept their number.
here's the question: if u do accept first then negotiate w/ other firms and
possibly turn down first offer, it hurts ur REN PIN. but if u don't accept
first, what do u have to show another firm's HR?
