Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the role offers a seasoned
application architect an opportunity to build web based enterprise
applications and solutions, including development, architecture, design &
coding standards, tools, or platforms. You will be involved in all aspects
of Enterprise application development (including Patters & Frameworks and
other Enterprise Technologies) and be a true partner in defining the
solutions in furthering the products and business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Act independently as a top-level contributor in direction for major,
complex programs intended to roll out high volume, high transaction based
web applications
• Be a hands on person leading the team from the front
• Align Microsoft .Net based platform development initiatives with
business vision, strategy and deployment
• Initiate, drive and deliver effective experiences in partnership
with distributed crossfunctional teams to ensure all aspects of the
architectural vision are communicated, supported and delivered to the
highest standards
• Work as an architecture team lead on large cross-functional projects
, ensuring that robust and scalable solutions are implemented
• Estimate engineering effort during various stages of project life
cycle
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight to offshore development
, quality assurance and stakeholders on all new code from inception through
integration, staging and production environments
• Exhibit creativity and resourcefulness at problem solving while
collaborating and working effectively with best in class designers,
engineers of different technical backgrounds, architects and product
managers
• Coach, guide and mentor 2-4 lead developers in accomplishing
architecture, design and implementation goals
• Be responsible for end to end development architecture, thus
ensuring the code written to implement the architecture and design meets the
highest standards in terms of code quality and efficiency
• Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem
avoidance and continuous improvement
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on
product changes, developing user stories and working through backlogs
• Supports, participates and adheres to the organization’s
Information Security Management System program, complying with all
established policies and procedures relating to the ISMS including, but not
limited to:
o Responsible for the protection of company information assets under their
care or operation
o All employees have a professional duty to report any information security
issues or incidents or situations that present potential security risks to
their direct supervisor and/or the Management Representative
o Operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent
judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required
• 8+ years of experience working in Microsoft .Net application
development.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting and deploying high volume,
high transaction based, distributed and redundant web applications.
• Demonstrated ability to architect web applications that are hosted
in the cloud which leverages PaaS (Platform as a Service) or IaaS (
Infrastructure as a Service) offerings.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams in delivering web
technology architecture, design and implementation.
• Proven track record re-architecting and migrating classic ASP
applications to MVC or latest .Net Framework.
• Excellent Strong Understanding of Microsoft .Net, C# technologies in
great detail, including, AJAX, Rest, XML, JSON
• Good understanding of modern distributed architecture and
development frameworks
(such as SOA, Microservices) for scalable and very fast applications
• Good grasp of modern and rich UI application architecture with
preferable coding experience in JavaScript frameworks and libraries (such as
Angular, Backbone), html and css.
• Excellent Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and
Design
• Excellent understanding of design patterns, performance issues and
troubleshooting them.
• Experience with developing MVC architecture based web applications.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Databases including optimizing
SQL Queries
• Experience writing shell scripts
• Experience with SOA and Web Services
• Experience working on mission critical applications
