People cannot be morally responsible for things over which they have no
control. Therefore, they should not be held morally responsible for any
inevitable consequences of such things either. Determine whether adults have
any control over the treatment they are receiving can be difficult . Hence
in some cases it can be difficult to know wether adults bear any moral
responsibility for the way they are treated. Everyone, however, sometimes
acts in ways that are an inevitable consequence of treatment received as an
infant, and infants clearly cannot control, and so are not morally
responsible for, the treatment they receive.
Anyone making the claims above would be logically committed to which one of
the following further claims?
A ) an infant should never be held morally responsible for an action that
infant has performed.
E ) No adult should be held morally responsible for every action he or she
performs. | B******1 发帖数: 9094 | 2 This is a must-be-true question, one of the easiest for logic reason.
All you need to do is the start with the premise in the answer choice and
follow the logic chain in the stimulus.
A) must be wrong since an infant will not be responsible for something he or
she has no control over.
E)must be right.
Last, even based on our common sense, choice A) does not sound right. | m****n 发帖数: 2754 | | c**********r 发帖数: 138 | 4 please read option a carefully. i think you might have missed sth.

An infant might do something over which he or he has control. Thus, the
infant might have to be responsible for that act.
Besides, the language of choice A is too strong, never a good sign for an
answer to the must-be-true type of questions. You need some wiggle room in a
universally correct answer choice when solving this type of problems. In
contrast, choice E just provided enough wiggle room for the answer choice to
hold.
