It seems redfin also provides some refunds. So my question is: Are these
agents good enough? Or we have to find our own agents, e.g., from friends.

他们一般不push
但是自己要多做功课 其实我觉得做足功课最重要
找个好的agent不容易

基本不用他们化时间看房子, 所以会给rebate. 其实找任何一个agent如果只是写个
offer, 都可以拿rebate, 而且会比redfin给的还好. |

pushy, and they earn their per transaction bonus based on your feedback. If
they don't treat you well, they will not get that, only the salary, which I
don't think it's high. So go with RedFin. My friend bought a 1.4million
house, and get 14,000 back in check. Traditional agent cannot beat that. |

自己花时间在REDFIN或者其他网站去看房子，他们不会帮你找房子信息。你觉得哪个好
，就告诉他们，他们带你去看。看房子的过程中，是AGENT和你们自己分头去看房子。
然后再具在一起讨论，觉得哪里好哪里不好。觉得他们给了很多中肯的建议，从里到外
，到周围的环境。对小孩是否安全，学区如何。个人经历很不错。CLOSING当天也一直
陪到最后。 |

buying. they provide you the maximum freedom, what house you want to tour,
when you want to tour. they send "field agent" to open doors for you. Don't
expect too much help from field agents. Some of them can be knowledgeable
and helpful but those are exceptions.
you don't get to work with a "real" agent until you are ready to submit an
offer.
The level of service is nowhere close to a "personal" feeling you may get
from a traditional agent. But if you prefer the freedom, no pressure from
agents, and can do you own research, then redfin maybe good
reviews.

我从来没问过她agent fee 和rebate问题。是在两个月前有一次看房子时见过她，觉得
她还不错，所以这次找了她。

现住房是当初sell by owner的， seller 建议用同一broker只做document,所以只交了
很少的fee.前一阵问过一女儿同学的妈妈（是realtor）rebate情况，她说他们这种
professional 是不给rebate的， 但服务很好，我就听信她的了。

agent看几个试试。还有个小问题：这些agent的工作时间是怎样的？如果我约他们下午
5：30－6：00pm（下班以后，我这边周末不太方便），会不会太晚？时间大约一个小时

其他的field agent带你看。我们在周末和晚上都约过，完全没有问题。有几个field
agent非常好，懂的东西很多。有的时候你只找到一个房子要看，他们的agent还主动帮
你搜索附近的房子，一起带你看。
