for what kind of use do you have them?
1) as fire extinguisher for emergency
2) watering grass
3) watering garden
4) wash ground
5) no use
do you have garden hose in your front yard?
do you have garden hose in your back yard?
do you have garden hose in your house? upstair or downstair?
I am planning to set up some garden hoses around/within house in case of
fire emergency. Is this a good idea? |

发帖数: 16778 | 5 I didn't say I woudn't. Will you call 9-1-1 for every small fire
such as a small one in the kitchenroom when you cook there.
First I called 9-1-1. And then I would use my fire extinguisher to try to
put it down myself. I have installed some hoses in the yards for any time's
use.
so I could use spinkle and garden hose for putting down some small fire.
but there are no hose adaptors in the attic in my second floor.
That is where dead zone is.

But I rarely use them. Do you use them frequently? why use them instead of
the spinkle system?
I just hang them on the wall for fire emergency.
I don't use them for watering my garden.
I have two manually pressured garden sprayers for watering my garden.

I only bought one fire extinguisher. It is expensive.
I use sprinkle system for lawn,
garden sprayer for vegetable I planted this spring,
and garden hose for prevention of small fire in case.
I still don't have good idea of how to protect the attic efficiently.
Maybe another extinguisher installed there?
or a long garden hose?
I need to install hose adpater in the kitchenroom and then conduct
the water there to the attic via the 100 ft garden hose.
I hope the 100ft garden hose can cover all the corners in my house.

you can only use faucets out of your house through the city water meter,
because that's the water you pay. |

by the way, we don't have that big hose to use with the fire hydrant.

10m can cover half of my roof. with a ladder, it can cover 3/4 of my roof.
One of my sprinklers can spray 15m.
so I think if I buy a stronger hose nozzle, I can reach 15m, which
will cover 4/5 of my roof.

if it was big fire and you put down it with your home made tools, you would
risk your life.
said is easier than done. just see if water from a sprinkler put down a fire
on the lawn.
