I post this question because I feel it is important and difficult for us
Chinese.
I noticed that you used a lot of rising intonation (general question mark
intonation 一般疑问句的升调）
Normally, we use it in the end of a general question senetence,
such as 'is this a CAT?' CAT will be read in rising intonation.
But you used a lot the rising intonation in the middle of sentence.
For example, starting from 42 seconds, you said,
"use this spoon, close your mouth.
when it's almost done, you don't keep this way but rather
keep it this way as I scoop the remaning."
You gave rising intonation for the words: spoon, mouth, done, way, and way.
I want to ask you,
what is the rising intonation in the middle used for?
for emphasis, or for what?
why is it used in the middle of sentence?
In which situation should we use it? |

I was not interested in that at all.
I only cared about when and how we should use 'rising intonation.'

书叫American Accent Training，带CD的，里面特地有关于intonation
的训练

My dream is to be great neurosurgeons. I know it is not simple at all. But I

。。。你要是注意美国十几岁小女孩讲话，就会发现升调特别多，你可以
google "valley girl accent" 找找有没有录音

有个老中大男人去学那样讲话倒真的很喜剧效果呢

个模仿对象。必须是你非常熟悉天天听他说话的人，可以是你的同事，或者
常看的电视节目中的人物。然后给自己心理暗示你就是他。等到你相信你是
他以后，开口讲话看看是否跟那人讲的差不多
比方说你想模仿老张。你把他所有视频每天看一遍。然后告诉自己你就是老
张，你就是视频里那个帅大叔，你有个漂亮女儿，你很能干什么都会修。。。
然后坐下来讲讲中西餐的区别。。。 |
