rain?
1) in order to avoid being washed away by rain
2) in order to let rain drip it into soil.
if the answer is 2, can we resolve the pre-emergent into water
and then sprinkle the pre-emergent water into lawn?

separate your lawn into 3 sections.
one section not apply at all.
one section apply normal.
one section apply water solution.
take before, during, and after pictures.
also record every 4 hours the height of the grass, and plot that into a side

and I cannot risk of not appying pre-emmergent.
