Miami police have arrested a 60-year-old pastor who is being accused of
putting his hands in the pants of a sleeping 11-year-old boy in April.
According to the police report, Jose Campos, the pastor of Ministerio Nueva
Vida En Cristo Jesus Church, was arrested Tuesday after the boy told a
teacher about the incident.
The boy said he was in Campos’ car when he fell asleep. When he woke up,
according to the report, Campos had his hands in his underwear.
Campos at first denied the allegations, but after further questioning
admitted to touching and inserting his finger into the victim’s underwear
by mistake, police said. He also said he didn’t touch anyone else in the
congregation, 124 NW 15th Ave.
Campos was arrested on one count of sexual battery on a minor under 12. The
Miami Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is investigating and
detectives are urging anyone with information on any additional victims to
call them at 305-603-6300 or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477). | a****d

October 20, 2011 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- A pastor faces a possible seven-year
prison term after admitting he sexually molested a teenage girl late last
year in Naperville.
James W. French, 64, remains free on bond and will be sentenced in late
November.
He was arrested last December at his home and had been teaching at a
community college in Rockford when the investigation was underway.
