1) Tenured 4 years in a teaching school (with limited research)
2) 25 hours per week totolly at school working
3) Gym+track workout 1 hour per day
4) like teach and blah blah in front of kids
5) 1 journal paper per year
6) 3 major conference trips per year (organizing symposia, committees,
papers & presentations)
7) 1 graduate student + couple unders
8) holding 2 100K+ research grants (one NSF due for extension)
9) write 3-4 proposals each years
10) eligible for early promotion (to full prof.) in the coming fall
I can see the rest of my life. Kids are in elementary school, so 10+ years
to go. I think faculty job is really more pleasant than industrial jobs. Not
much pressure from the work. Teaching school is not too bad. |
