G*********l 发帖数: 1 | 1 Elon Musk did not consider the meta-verse "attractive", arguing that the
heady and strange head admired by Mark Zuckerberg and other VR supporters
could not catch on.
Musk said bluntly in an interview: " Of course you can hang a TV on your
nose, but I don't think you can reach the Meta universe!”
The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX said: " I can't imagine anyone happily hanging a
damn screen on their face.”
The metacverse refers to the virtual world to which users access through
virtual reality, augmented reality, and other technologies. In October, Mark
Zuckerberg renamed Facebook Meta to identify with —— on the idea and
insist that humans will soon socialize, work, play games and create art in
the metacom.
However, Elon Musk poured cold water on the metacumom to Babylon Bee last
Tuesday, saying: " I don't think the metacom is currently convincing!”
The world's richest man also mentioned another fashionable technical concept
, called Web 3.0.Supporters call it a decentralized version of the Internet
that uses blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to power individual
users and undermine the influence of tech giants like Meta and Google.
Musk said that Web 3.0 gave him " more like a marketing than a reality."He
added:" I really can't understand it!”
Jack Dorsey recently resigned as CEO of Twitter to focus on payment company
Block Inc. (formerly Square). He recently also attacked Web 3.0.
He argued in a series of tweets that Web 3.0 actually shifts power from
existing technology companies like Meta and Google to venture capital
companies like Andreessen Horowitz, not to individual users.
He wrote: " It is not you who owns Web 3.0, but the venture capital firms
and their partners. They will never deviate from their motives. In the end,
Web 3.0 is still a centralized product, but with a different label. Please
realize what you are doing!”
He even directly named and shamed Chris Dixon, a partner of the Andreessen
Horowitz Fund, by saying: " You are a fund determined to become a media
empire not to be ignored... and not Mahatma Gandhi.”
Last Tuesday, when Musk tweeted a joke about Web 3.0 (has anyone ever seen
Web 3.0?I can't find it!) When Dorsey says Andreessen Horowitz directly in
the comments section, saying that Web 3.0 exists "between A and Z."
