need to pay higher insurance fees (depends on how much your former employers
paid for you in the past) to the insurance company. After they receive your
payment, they will send you new insurance card(s). Before receiving the
card, if you need to see doctor, you/the provider will need to call
insurance company first.

请问先不交保险费激活，万一生病再激活赔保可能性大么？group agent说要file
claim跟保险公司argue...

发帖数: 1342 | 4 Both are right. HR usually outsources those sort of thing to paychex etc.
They will send you letter in about 2~3 weeks.
I think as long as you pay ALL the premium from the day you lost job to
current, you should be OK filing claims. If there is real emergency, don't
hesitate go to emergency room, because after all life is the most important
