本人常常出差，航班一般选择UA，hotel选择marriott
Marriott的reward可以有两种方式积分
一种是每花$1积10 Marriott points
一种是每花$1积2 UA miles
4月30号以前针对两种积分方式有两个促销
一个every second stay, get 1 free night, up to 2 free nights. （free nights
9月底过期）
一个every stay, get 2000 bonus miles.
在此我每个星期都会住marriott，从现在开始算基本有11次stay
大家帮我看看促销期间我应该选择哪种积分方式？促销之后呢？
给个参考材料，我现在常住的hotel，需要20000points get 1 free night.. | l*x

4 stays with points to get the 2 free night certificate
switch to miles and earn 2000 miles per stay till the promotion ends.
However, if your stays are mostly 3 or more nights, and you don't want to do
hotel hopping, points are better, even after the promotion.

I would choose MR points for the stay. You will get bonus point after
achieving elite status, but not so on miles. In addition, when you want to
use the pts, you can always choose to redeem at lower category hotels with
saver fare.
3. while I do not recommend maximizing your stays by check-in/out using your
and your wife's MR, you can do so.

If you can maximize the reward by hotel hopping, you can get 50K miles,
which is almost a round trip ticket to China (65K miles). That will require
at least 26 nights (1 night per stay for 26 stays). I value 50K UA miles
around $900 to $1000, as the round trip ticket usually cost $1000 to $1200.
If you pay $200 a night, 26 nights will get your 52K points, even with 25%
Gold bonus, it is 65K points. That's 5 free nights (20K redemption rate per
night + 2 free night certificates). Values at about $600. If your room rate
is $100 per night, you will only get 32.5K points. That's only good for 3
free nights at cat 1-4 hotels. That's only $350. If you don't have any
travel plan, then the 2 free night certificates are almost worthless to you
as they are not transferable.
Of course, only if you are willing to switch hotel every night. I did, and
many frequent travelers too.
