Yes, I also downgrade prestige to preferred even though I only had $350
annual fee due to open in branch. I miss the 4th night free feature, but CSR
offer much more than that:
1. Transfer Chase UR pts to UA mileageplus (my ink plus retired accordingly)
2. Primary car rental (I lose one big reason to keep UA explorer card)
3. 3X travel expense cashback (~6% if you value 1 UR pts (mileageplus mile)
at 2 cent per pt)
Surely the common thing with prestige are priority pass select with free
guests, airline credit, GE. Plus this one has a huge (100k) sign up bonus.
roughly 1.5 US-china round-trip tickets
essentially $150 annual fee after annual airline credit. So I will keep it
for long, particularly considering the 5/24 rule.

you to stay at least four nights while you might just want to stay one or
two nights.
The thing is that I can't guarantee that my family will be able to have a 4-
night paid hotel stay each year. We may go back to China or use reward stay
(say, forced by our chase IHG card due to annual free night certificate...).
For me, two night stay, very likely. Three night, possible. Four night, not
every year. So...
I still have half a month to reverse my product change at Citi, but I am not
convinced particularly when I have the CSR. I don't want to be stuck with
lots of airline gift card as well.

今年全家，大的也大了，订欧洲房子不容易，四个人动辄几百块一天。
结果到expedia查了两天，不时出一个几个小时的sale，最后也是25% off，先付款再便
宜一些，还不用等三四个月拿钱回来。

以前agent的说法是只能订pulic rate，就是官网上不login不用code能看到的rate。
但是我上个月订san anotonio的marriott，agent直接查到marriott的member
exclusive rate。我在marriott官网上看到的同样的exclusive rate是prepaid的不能
取消的。prestige agent给我订的是post paid能取消的。我问他能不能订会议rate，
他是只要酒店的reservation department让，他们就能订，而且同样第四晚free。
