想说的是NCAA没有从根本上解决问题。在FOOBALL电力屋， FOOTBALL IS STILL
ABOVE EVERYTHING! 很多所谓的Student Athlete 都不是真正的学生。FOOTBALL HC
的工资仍是校长的几倍。这样的状况下，丑闻将永远不断。
至于PSU, we will be ok. In fact we may be better off, since now footbal is
no longer the main focus. |

dn't say每次, but from an ohio state perspective, i've seen this played out
exactly the same way (though the severity of the "crime" obviously differ)
球迷都是觉得ncaa, media, 不公平。and personally i agree.. 另外总有很多其他学
校球迷在forum上幸灾乐祸，显示holier-than-thou的attitude (penn state fans, ir
onically, were among those when JT was in trouble - 说的是老美球迷，不是华人
).
处罚下来了，不管服不服，也只能接受。appeal？看看usc, 徒劳而已，还多一年uncer
tainty.
然后呢？有culture change? i don't think so. i haven't seen any, from any sch
ool. do people think no more cash is passed under the table? if so, it's onl
y gotten more discreet
If the culture has to be changed, I think NCAA should look at its own rules
- maybe start paying players publicly. A lot of coverup will not have happen
ed if coaching and $ are used to attract players instead of some false sense
of "amateurism", "doing things the *right* way"

teams are like this. of course i have no evidence, so you can claim
michigan is different, and i'll have no way to prove you wrong.
actually before this whole thing comes out, psu was one of the schools who
legitmately can claim "we are different" and few would say no. well it
turns out they are just like the others

took 13 years for psu.. maybe the only "lucky"
thing is that there may not be many pedophiles out there after all. but are
there powerful coaches who harrassed women? and got that covered up? we may
never know but my gut feeling is that it's more likely that there are than n

We hardly see any scandals in Division III sports programs, which are truely
for real students. So we can see what is the problem. |
