橄榄球：1986-1990, 总共只赢了9场球。 90年（Barry Alvarez的第一年）只赢了一场
球！
这之前20年也好不到哪里去：
1967–1969： 3–26–1
1970–1977： 37–47–3
1978–1985： 46–42–3
二十年间只去了3个bowl game！
篮球：
1954–1995的四十年间，只有8个winning seasons，两个conference winning seasons！
这个时期最后的教练是我称之为“猪头”的无脑教练Stan Van Gundy，干了两年后被开
掉。谁知道这厮到NBA还发达了，那是后话。
90年后大家都看到了，橄榄球只有几年没有打bowl，篮球3个final four。 |

但是篮球Bo年龄到了，急流勇退是对的。前面的Dick Bennet也是进了Final Four后退
休的。Dick本来指望他儿子Tony，现在 Virginia的教练继位，但Tony确实没有准备好。
至于Stan Van Gundy，那时候他在Wisconsin表现真是一塌糊涂，但他被赶走与Alvarez
没有一点关系。
