你可以象我一样住在NJ,然后坐LAND LAKE BUS进城,再换地铁到学校.或者住离NYC更近
的地方,每天坐火车进城也行. |

how much is two bedroom at Fort Lee? it looks on the other river side. can
you give me more detail of your apartment? Should I get there to look and

there.

V*******C 发帖数: 36 | 8 Fort lee is a good choice, a nice two bd rent can be ~$1500 (two years ago).
Lots of buses running across GWB at $1 one way. You can easily walk to your
lab after getting off the bus or wait for the Columbia shuttle. When the
weather is good, you can even ride a bike to Columbia.
Another option is Riverdale, the safest neighborhood in Bronx, where #1
train can take you directly to 168 st.
Bottom line is don’t even consider living close to campus, Washington
heights is really bad, lots of Latinos |
g*******x 发帖数: 2158 | 9 ride bike to work from Fort lee. |

但是楼主有孩有车的话就不用考虑住manhanttan了

g*******x 发帖数: 2158 | 11 I used to live in Washington height for almost 6 years. Yes, there are a lot
of Latino guys, but most of them are friendly. If you want to consider
washington height, pick an apartment near Haven Avenue, where Columbia
installed a lot CCTVs. You can consider that part is campus.

p*****a 发帖数: 1435 | 12 you can rent a two-bedroom for 1500-1800 within walking distance to the
shuttle stop to CUMC. You can also live a little farther and drive to the
shuttle stop or take a bus to NYC. Maryland is not far. I would look through
craigslist and contact a few house owners or brokers, and then make a trip
to Fort Lee and look around.
I will keep an eye on any renting information for you.

p*****a 发帖数: 1435 | 14 You are welcome!
There is no on-campus housing at Fort Lee. People live at different
apartments/houses. As far as I know, there is no such a list. You will have
to go through craigslist. There are a lot of broker's ads on it. I think the
best way is to keep checking craigslist and also make a trip and drive
around and find the "for rent" signs.
