国内总打,曾拿过院里男单冠军(500人左右)。来美国后很少打。净踢足球了。世界
杯后准备退役了。准备找个俱乐部好好练练。有希望到2000吗?

说不定你已经有2000分了。
我的目标是50岁以前达到1900。过了50岁,我这种打法已经不太可能提高了,除非我改
用长胶。
The clock is ticking for me ... I'll need to get every bit of help that I
can possibly get.

please,
was it a close match?
ur skill level is already 1900+, u just need to play more tournaments,
improve
the ability of showing your real level in tournament matches, also improve
your stamina s.t. u can play enough matches in one tournament to have teh
CHANCE
to show ur real level.

Chen91: 谢谢你的鼓励。The NCAAF game was very very close. I lost the first
game, but won the last 3 games, all at deuce.
心态上,我好像比较坚决(hpzd告我说要争取打重一点),打出几个对方没想到我能打
出的好球,结果他反而有点过于保守(可能是一开始时过低估计我的能力,后来又过高
估计我的真正实力),他后来手软了,否则我不会有机会的。
后来跟另一个高手打,他比我还要坚决,决不手软。然后我觉得他的球超转(他用的是
国产Dawei Inspirit),不适应,我挡不住他的正手。

体能对我来说,是个不小的challenge. 我时常觉得在比赛中集中不了精力,导致反应
迟钝,被动挨打。除了跑步以外(已经有好几个高手建议过了),还有没有别的办法?

那就thinking out of the box, 打自己的球,让别人跑去吧--像peter chen那样。

JOGGING IS just one kind of cardio, the best way to improve 体能 is actually
interval training, like playing against a robot, u have to exercise at 90
percentage of ur max heart rate (HR) = 220-ur age, for a few min.s, then
slow down to 60-70 percentage, then exercise back to 90, repeat that cycles
for 20-30 min.s
in order to improve ur stamni, u can try cycling (if do not like road cycle,
try stationary cycling classes in gym) or swimming if u do not enjoy jogging
that
much.

i do not think by changing ur backhand to LP could easily improve
ur level, unless u are one sided penholders (for some, it did)
Penholder has natually weak backhand, they either add LPs on their
backhand, or learn reverse backhand looping, otherwise change
to shakehand as a blocker(could use LPs on their backhans).
for a looper shakehand, u might try to use short pips/medium
pips to see if it works for u, unless u like to try to be a
chopper, do not need to try LPs.
