b***i 发帖数: 10018 | 10 today my HR 155 run finally dipped down to BQ pace.
warmed up at 9:08, 8:36, 7:52,
then i ran an hour of aerobic run with HR below 155 (82.5%)
7:18, 7:16, 7:08, turn back, 7:15, 7:19, 7:18, 7:25, 7:14
instead of hammering it at the end,
i let it cool down at the final 0.66mi at 8:38.
it's in the middle of 80+mpw, and i am doing it twice per week.
i know i am in better shape than i was in LAM already,
but i don't want it to peak yet.
i am hoping to build an even better base for the CIM training.

Baiji, I would suggest you find another race instead of SFM. SFM is not only
hilly, but might also be too crowded to run at your own pace!
my friends said they can only run at 14-15 pace on the GG bridge.

w*******e 发帖数: 2651 | 17 It would be great if you can come and join us at SFM.
We have 6 people signed up already.
Try to get the 1st wave start so you don't have crowd issue.
Eearly start would also help you avoid heat (if any)
at the later stage of the race.
First half is hilly, but the second half is mostly flat or
even downhill.
Hope I can celebrate your BQ here!

You probably won't get sun exposure if you finish the race

I think LBM makes more sense to me, it's local, cheap and low key. :)
In my 18 week training plan to CIM, the LBM weekend i will have to do a 24mi
long run any way. Hopefully I will be fit enough by then so that a BQ time
marathon won't take too much out of me...
If I have the chance, i will definitely come run SFM too, it's a nice race.
