1) what's the future / business nature of "barcode printer" industry?
2) how good/outstanding Zebra is?
3) anyone had experience in the R&D centers (in China) set up by Zebra or by
companies of similar business?

technology. Barcode is used everywhere. Using a mobile phone to scan barcode
is a new application and seems very useful. For example, when you walk into
a store, try out a product, and before you decide to buy it in the store,
you can take out your phone and take a picture of the barcode, then
immediately search online to compare online prices. | s*******e

i recently found i no longer need to scan the bar code when checking out
books in a library. i only need put the books on the platform.

发帖数: 154 | 6 Zebra is not doing well. Every quarter they have to laid off people to make
the number look good. It is heavily depends on the logistic and shipping
industry which have yet to recover from the recession. It is trying to do
RFID bar code pritings but it is not picking up yet due to the high cost to
customers. Zebra's bay area office is in downtown Oakalnd, btw. I heard they
have two rounds of laid offs this year already, 10% reduction every time. |
