The Not-So-Wonders of Silicon Valley

For an upcoming talk I’m doing where I muse about the misunderstood
Silicon Valley “model”, a St. Louis Fed graph I put together of total
non-farm employment in the Bay Area (San Francisco MSA + San Jose MSA)
since 1995. As you can see, it’s fairly unimpressive, in aggregate, with
no net new jobs created since the late ’90s boom. Granted, much has
changed in the area, but it’s still worth pondering. |

把许多人从金字塔的顶端拉了下来。
弯曲多数公司及其注重innovation，而发明创造是保持不衰败的基础，当然
也是能否继续站在金字塔顶端的决定因素。我观察的结果是目前弯曲的创新
型高科技企业基本都OK。 |

发帖数: 3172 | 8 要说工作没有吧，加州房事还挺坚挺，今天的case shiller index 房价普跌，全国现
在只有加州三大城和DC硕果仅存，还是year over year positive。其他城市全挂了，
yoy negative了。 |
