CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif.—A pastor was convicted of molesting five girls that
he and his wife were caring for at their home in Northern California.
A jury found Tommy Gene Daniels—pastor of the First Baptist Church of Rio
Linda—guilty of 11 of 12 molestation counts on Thursday.
He could face 165 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on Jan. 13.
Daniels, 49, was accused of molesting the girls at his Citrus Heights home
between December 2002 and July 2005. The victims were between 5 and 13.
