I'm currently representing a great start-up company out San Mateo that is
revolutionizing the way companies work with big data. They're a Hadoop
company-but not focused on the low-level plumbing like the other guys.
Founded in 2010, they're leading the way in data virtualization!
Here's the job description:
About You
You are a full stack engineer that is passionate about creating a robust
platform. You think not only about what is valuable for internal development
but also about programmatic interfaces to enable customer success. You
believe in an "API first" philosophy. You are eager to dig into our metadata
model to improve end-to-end performance. You've worked in environments
where you've focused on highly available web applications and are eager to
build the application infrastructure to support these needs.
The Role
You will be directly responsible for delivering reliable, high volume web
services. You should also be an internal advocate for an API first
philosophy and help drive this on all features through participation in
technical reviews and discussion with other engineers. You will also be
responsible for building out reusable interfaces to enable customers to
extend the Platfora platform, such as pluggable authentication and
authorization.
